My Insights and Inspiration from the TLV Indie-Hacker Community

Introduction
Last week, I went with my partners to meetup of indie-hacker community to get familiar with other solo-entrepreneurs. It was an amazing gathering (kudos to the organizers!).
Since we were group of below 20 indie-hackers we sat around the table and make introduction each to other about their passion, indie-stories, and share useful tips.
There were a lot of inspirational stories about people that work for several years of their product (full time and as side project).
The open vibe of the meeting was great, usually i don't feel that I'm 100% fit in groups. However, the fact that I came with two-friends, and actually know several of the participants leads toward a fruitful meeting!
In this post, I'll try to perform recap and share my own takeaway (I came a bit lately so i didn't had the privilege to get more information)
My takeaways
During the meetup I was constantly busy in writing down in my phone the top-notch suggestions. So, I gladly want to share my experience and takeaway.
Top takeaway
General
- Don't waste time on building if you considering to raise money. Go Full in on the raise.
- Actually it connect to the mantra " work on your startup not in it"
- Continue with my efforts to build a "Multi-startup" and not focusing on one niche.
- Use engagement and notification heavily when building to mobile.
- Sell the dream before the reality
- (When talking with investors)
- Compare people with others (as suggested by the Johnny metric)
- Double down with partners on my interers and
- I saw several potential collabration in the field of "Generative Transformation", "E-Commerce", "Interior design".
Accountant and finance
- Open and managing the business using Jonny (see Refs)
- Try to use Paddle instead of Paypal online
- Or lemon squeezer
Marketing
- Viral Generator
- Using "guerrila" marketing strategy to gain more market share
- Use TikTok-Creator marketplace
- In order to pay for influencers to spread my startup in several markets.
- CRO - conversation revneue optimizations; They suggest a coursera course on that to learn some cool tactics
My suggestion to the community
- Building strong semi-connections to promote each others
- As a self-example this post actually "Skin in the game" paying to promote the
- I think that it will be nice to initilize
- Elaborate about the uniqueness of building project with city/country that has that incredibly high COST OF LIVING, such as TLV.
- Use this forum as Beta-testing environment to test new products.

Tasks that I happily want to contribute:
- Write about build in public in more conservative industries.
- Have meeting with several from this group.
- Visit buildInpublic meeting in 10 different countries.
